The Eid Al Fitr holidays have arrived, and what better way to celebrate than by enjoying free parking as you travel around the UAE? Transport authorities in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah have announced complimentary parking during the Eid holidays, along with adjusted public transport schedules to accommodate the public holidays. Below are the details for your convenience.
Dubai
Complimentary parking will be available from Ramadan 29 until Shawwal 3, with paid parking resuming on Shawwal. The specific dates will be confirmed by the moon-sighting committee tomorrow, Monday, April 8.
Dubai’s public transportation system will also have adjusted schedules during the Eid festivities.
– Metro: Extended operating hours will be in place for the holiday period. The Dubai Metro will run from 8am to 1am on Sunday, April 7, 5am to 1am from Monday to Saturday, April 8 to 13, and 8am to 12 midnight on Sunday, April 14.
– Tram: Monday to Saturday: 6am-1am, and Sunday: 9am to 1am the following day.
– Bus: Please refer to RTA’s S’hail app for the updated schedule during the holiday.
Abu Dhabi
Experience complimentary parking and toll-free travel on the Darb toll gate system from Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14. Public bus services will adhere to the standard weekend schedule, with the possibility of more frequent trips based on demand, as stated by Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC). Additionally, Abu Dhabi Express and Abu Dhabi Link buses will be available for extended hours, operating from 6am to 11pm.
Sharjah
Complimentary parking will be available on the first, second, and third day of Eid Al Fitr. Please note that parking fees will still apply at zones marked with blue signboards. These charges are in effect every day of the week, including Fridays and public holidays.
Ajman
Complimentary public parking will be available throughout the Eid holidays. The operating hours for Abras will be from 8am to 12am, while on-demand bus services will run from 6am to midnight.

Intercity bus timings
Ras Al Khaimah – Ajman (via Umm Al Quwain)
The bus service will operate every half hour from Ras Al Khaimah to Ajman, with a stop in Umm Al Quwain, starting at 6am and running until 7:30pm.
For the return journey from Ajman to Ras Al Khaimah, the bus will depart every half hour from 7:30am to 9:30pm, also stopping in Umm Al Quwain.

The bus will depart from both the Khasab and Ras Al Khaimah bus stations at 8 am and 6 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
