Dubai RTA and Emaar Properties Launch New Marine Transport Lines for Dubai Creek Harbour

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced two new marine transport lines to serve the residential areas of Dubai Creek Harbour. These new routes aim to enhance connectivity and convenience for residents and tourists, linking key destinations within the city.

Marine Transport Line Details

1. Weekend Service: The first line operates between Dubai Creek Harbour and Dubai Festival City every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 4:00 pm to 11:55 pm.
2. Weekday Service: The second line connects Dubai Creek Harbour to Al Jaddaf Marine Transport Station and Al Khor Metro Station on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 7:30 am to 10:50 am and from 4:00 pm to 10:50 pm.

Each trip costs only AED 2, making it an economical choice for daily commuters and tourists alike.

Strategic Collaboration

This initiative follows a strategic collaboration agreement between RTA and Emaar Properties aimed at enhancing waterfront community projects and tourist destinations. The agreement was signed by Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency, and Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Executive Board Member of Emaar Properties.

Remarkable Growth in Passenger Numbers

Ahmed Bahrozyan highlighted the success of the new lines, with passenger numbers soaring from an average of 3,000 per month in August 2022 to 30,000 per month this year, reflecting a 900% increase. This growth is attributed to the enhanced infrastructure, including berths for marine vessels and ticket kiosks, improving overall customer satisfaction.
